Date-specific weather, beyond 28 days
A simple, practical way to reduce uncertainty when planning far in advance.
Traditional weather forecasts lose reliability beyond about 28 days. At that point, planning usually falls back on long-term averages or guesswork. Weather Ready provides a more useful alternative by generating weather estimations for the exact date you select.
Each estimation blends over 120 years of Perth climate records with recent temperature behaviour to determine what conditions are most likely on that specific day. Instead of offering a broad seasonal outlook, the model produces a single best-estimate maximum temperature that reflects realistic day-to-day variability.
Rainfall is estimated separately using historical patterns for that calendar date, returning both the probability of rain and the expected rainfall amount if rain occurs.
The result is clear, easy-to-understand information — maximum temperature, rainfall probability, and rainfall amount — designed to be more informative than the long-term average and more reliable than a guess, even months or years ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
People plan ahead to reduce uncertainty and avoid problems. Many plans are made weeks or months in advance,
so people naturally want to know what the weather might be like on a specific future date.
The problem, as we all know, is that weather forecasts become unreliable beyond 14 days. This leaves only two
options: the long-term average or taking a guess. Both have major limitations. The average hides real variability,
and a guess has no structure or reliability.
A valuable alternative would need to consistently outperform both of these options. That is the gap Weather Ready aims to fill.
What is Weather Ready’s aim?
Our aim is to provide long-range, date-specific weather estimates beyond 28 days with accuracy that outperforms the current alternatives of using the long-term average or guessing.
What does Weather Ready provide?
Estimation of the daily maximum temperature, chance of rainfall (%), and expected rainfall amount (mm) for any future date beyond 28 days.
What’s included in each estimate?
• Expected maximum temperature
• Chance of rainfall (in %)
• Estimated rainfall amount (in mm)
How far ahead can I request an estimate?
You can request estimates for any future date beyond the next 28 days — including dates months or years ahead.
Can I select multiple dates at once?
You can select up to seven dates in a single order, allowing easy comparison between different future dates. Discounts automatically apply for each additional date selected beyond the first.
Which regions are supported?
All estimates are currently calibrated specifically for the Perth metropolitan area. Estimates are not yet available for other locations.
How much does it cost?
Each estimation costs $0.99 AUD, payable via credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay through secure Stripe payment processing.
How do I place an order?
Go to weatherready.com.au and click “Get Estimation.”
Select a future date (beyond 28 days).

How does the estimation method work?
Weather Ready combines recent observed temperatures with long-term historical climate statistics.
It uses a precision-weighted fusion of:
• The most recent observed maximum temperature (Tₚ)
• The average maximum temperature for that calendar day (T_c)
• Their respective variability (σₚ and σ_c)
A fused mean (μₓ) and fused standard deviation (σₓ) are generated and used to produce the final estimate through a normal-distribution sampling process.
Rainfall probability and expected rainfall amounts are calculated using historical frequencies filtered by temperature bands.
How accurate are the estimates?
Weather is inherently unpredictable, and no scientific model — including ours — can provide precise, certainty-level estimations for specific dates beyond 28 days.
The information contained in our estimates does not claim precision accuracy.
These estimates are intended as guidance, with the simple aim of outperforming the alternatives of using the long-term average or guessing.
When they achieve this, our estimates provide a genuinely valuable level of accuracy.
How transparent are Weather Ready estimates?
Every estimate is displayed on the Estimation Accuracy plot once the target date has passed. The plot shows the lead time of the estimate and the absolute error between the actual maximum temperature and the Weather Ready estimate. This display updates daily as new estimations mature and real observations become available, ensuring full transparency over time.
How does Weather Ready differ from using the long-term average?
The long-term average cannot predict real variability for a specific future date. It hides hot, cold, wet, dry, and extreme outcomes. Weather Ready incorporates recent conditions and historical patterns to estimate where within that natural variability a specific date is more likely to fall, offering guidance the average cannot provide.
How does Weather Ready differ from simply guessing the weather?
A guess has no structure or connection to real atmospheric behaviour. Weather Ready builds a link between today’s conditions and the selected future date by simulating how temperatures typically evolve across the days in between. This structured, data-driven process is designed to consistently outperform random guessing.
To what extent can Weather Ready estimates be relied upon?
Weather Ready estimates should be used as helpful guidance, not as precise predictions. They provide a clearer expectation than using the long-term average or guessing, but all long-range forecasts carry uncertainty. The information can support early planning and risk assessment, but it should not be the sole basis for any important decision.
Are my payment details safe?
Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe Payments, a PCI-certified global payment platform that meets the highest security standards in the financial industry. Weather Ready never sees, handles, or stores your card details. Your information is encrypted and processed directly by Stripe Payments.
How can I get support?
You can contact Weather Ready support by emailing weatherreadyinfo@gmail.com or by using the Weather Ready Live Assistant chat widget on the website. Both options provide direct help with any questions about estimates, payments, or service use.
